Originally from South Korea, Simon grew up in New York where he received a Bachelors in Fine Arts (Honours) from School of Visual Arts (New York, NY) and Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, NY).

Simon is currently working as a Sr. Product Designer & Product Developer at Munchkin, the world’s largest baby lifestyle brand based in Southern California. For the past 4 years, he has contributed with 14+ new products and 12+ product improvements which have generated over 30 million dollars in revenue.  His latest designs have been awarded with some of most prestigious honors of the industry, including: IDSA Industrial Design Excellence Award, Good Design Award Australia and A’Design Awards, among others.

For the past 14 years, he has created product solutions for a broad range of client, from global companies to private owned start-ups, including Samsung, Cisco, Incase and Munchkin, and his work spans a variety of industries and products such as: consumer electronics, enterprise information technology systems, children’s safety products, feeding items, travel gears and toys.

From initial concepts through mass production, he leads projects from start to finish and manages all issues that impact design. He thrives working with a small team of Engineers, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Costing and various manufacturers as he is an analytical and goal oriented designer who values successful business results through well executed products.
